About This Spot

Stepping into Kaladi Coffee Roasters along East Evans Avenue feels like entering a quietly vibrant pocket of Denver’s ever-evolving coffee scene. The space hums with a youthful energy—bright and clean, yet warmly familiar—where the steady rhythm of baristas crafting espresso drinks blends with low murmurs of conversation. It’s the kind of place where time seems to slow just enough to savor a carefully brewed cup, yet the buzz of activity keeps the air invitingly alive.

The mood here walks a fine line between cozy and purposeful. It’s a spot that welcomes those seeking a thoughtful pause over a well-pulled Kaladi Latte or a refreshingly smooth cold brew, while also supporting solo work sessions with an array of small tables that invite focus without isolation. Natural light spills in, highlighting the simple but artful touches around the room—subtle nods to the craft behind each roast and the stories held within each sip.

What makes Kaladi especially magnetic is its commitment to freshness and direct connection to the coffee’s origins. The beans are sourced with care and roasted on-site, often the same day, ensuring each cup carries layers of vibrant flavor without feeling rushed or overworked. This freshness invites both aficionados and casual drinkers alike to explore familiar favorites alongside house-made syrups and thoughtful alternatives like oat or coconut milk, creating a personalized ritual that feels honest and comforting.

Beyond the coffee, there’s a gentle human thread woven through the space. Staff members are attentive without being intrusive, reflecting a genuine hospitality that turns a simple visit into a moment of connection—whether you’re sharing a quiet morning with a ham croissant or catching up over a chai tea latte. Despite its steady flow of customers, Kaladi maintains a clean, organized feel that underscores its careful attention to detail.

For anyone drawn to spaces where craftsmanship meets community, this espresso bar invites you to settle in, soak up the atmosphere, and savor the subtle joys of coffee made and shared with intention.

Love the fresh roasted, single origin coffees. They source the coffee themselves and roast on site. It is usually same day roasted so the flavor is incredible. Cozy atmosphere and friendly staff.

Busy, loud, clean and convenient. Maladies is a good location to work solo at one of many small tables. However, if you're in a large group it is a gamble as large group seating is limited. For what it lacks in space for large groups it more than makes up for in clean youthful environment, if that's your thing. A well designed barista area is pleasing to the eye and the place is kept tidy even down to the gender neutral bathroom. On a nice day you can make use of the limited outdoor seating, however Kaladi is located on a busy local street, so it may be noisy. Parking is plentiful in this area, and generally there's a spot right out front without any meters. This is a good location to put your headphones on and get some work done. Alas, I nearly forget to compliment their coffee. At quality is good and consistent for the two cups I had. While Kaladi is not a destination spot like say a We Work, it is good if you're in the hood.

My wife, adult son and I visited this coffee shop for the first time a couple days ago (Saturday afternoon) and had an enjoyable experience. Parking was kinda tight, the outside of the shop was simply decorated, we were welcomed upon entering, the dining room was large, clean, bright & interestingly decorated, the employees were friendly and helpful, our coffee and danish treats were delicious, reasonably priced, and had relaxing music playing.

Had an amazing experience at Kaladi Coffee! My daughter and I were visiting from Minnesota and were welcomed. We had iced lattes with white chocolate syrup and was DELICIOUS. Thank you for the great coffee and conversation! Highly recommend.

The service was absolutely amazing! All the gentlemen there were so helpful and kind. I can’t wait to try the beans! My latte was delicious, the espresso was smooth, no bitterness. I work at a local coffee roaster in Omaha and love to try other local roasters whenever I go out of town. This place is awesome, definitely recommend!!

Favorite local coffee shop! The staff are incredibly friendly, the coffee is great, and they're open later than a lot of other places in the area.

Nice coffee shop near Denver University. The coffees are excellent and there's a small selection of pastries. I enjoyed the latte. Service was excellent - both fast & friendly. There's ample seating even though it was busy this morning. They do have password protected Wi-Fi available for guests. Parking was easy early in the morning, but can be problematic later in the day.
